About the Dartmoor Lodge

The Dartmoor Lodge 4604 was consecrated on 30th April 1924. Our early meetings were held in various locations within the village of South Brent.

Subsequently, our Masonic Hall was constructed, and was finally dedicated on 24th January 1940. We have occupied it ever since.

The First 20 Years is a booklet produced by W.Bro. Reginald G. Hard in 1944 to commemorate and detail the history of the first 20 years of Dartmoor Lodge. (This was a poor quality scan of a very old original copy: this has been scanned, cleaned, corrected and edited by W.Bro. Bob Carter).

***** Sq & C *****

We work hard at our ritual, practicing "Emulation Ritual" (including some 'Dartmoor Workings') which we take extremely seriously, but we are a very friendly Lodge enjoying cameraderie and banter at the Festive Board, and we enjoy mixing socially. We have several social functions during the course of the year: details of events already planned are included on our Notices and Diary pages.
